Lovely bright green lance shape foliage with large open soft yellow coloured flowers with contrasting burnt orange anthers providing a beautiful fragrance. Flowers appear from July through August.

Sun/Shade: Full sun or partial/dappled shade.
Soil Conditions: Humus rich, moist but well drained soil.
Hardy/Winter protection: Hardy. If worried about winter give it a good layer of mulch.
Tony Schilling collected this plant in 1966 at 2700m from the Dudh Kosi valley, in Khumbu, eastern Nepal. H.Stephen is named after his son.
