Also known as dwarf Brazilian tree fern it will eventually form a narrow trunk. Its stiff upright fronds form a shuttlecock shape and can reach up to 2ft. New fronds emerge bronze then turn red and fade to green as they mature. Very architectural plant that never goes unnoticed.
Height and Spread: 3- 5 ft
Sun/Shade: Partial to full shade.
Soil conditions: Moist, humus rich, acid soil.
Hardy/winter protection: Hardy in coastal or mild areas although likely to be damaged/killed in severe winters. Although some say hardy down to -5 we brings ours in undercover during winter.
