Description
Elegant fast-growing evergreen tree fern that develops a slender dark brown, fibrous trunk. It’s beautiful arching fronds are dark green on top and paler underneath. keep the trunk watered/damp do not let it dry out at all. Ours are kept outside for the summer in a sheltered spot as too much wind will dry it out. If you lose your squarrosa to cold weather new plants will usually emerge from the base.

Sun/Shade: Partial to full shade.
Soil Conditions: Neutral to acid soil – humus rich.
Hardy/Winter Protection: Hardy down to -5 but better off if bought in to a frost free environment.
