Description
ventricosum has large exotic green paddle shaped leaves with a red midrib. It forms a lovely thick trunk. Water well and feed regularly throughout the growing season. Amazingly fast and easy to grow. Some people refer to ventricosum with a red midrib as ‘red Stripe’ however, this would appear to be the name given to seedlings of ventricosum with the red midrib which is very common.
Height and Spread: 3m x 2m
Sun/Shade: Full sun or partial shade.
Soil Conditions: Humus rich well drained soil.
Hardy/Winter protection: Winter protection required. Ours are lifted, potted and stored in a heated polytunnel. You can also lift and store dry.
