Description

A spectacular plant with elegant black stems with deep green glossy waxy heart shaped leaves. Beautiful dark veining on the under side of leaves.

Sun/Shade: Full sun to partial/dappled shade.

Soil conditions: Moist fertile soil. Can be used in the margins of a pond or bog garden.

Height and Spread: Height 1.5m Spread 1.5 m although have grown over 2m in our garden.

Hardy/Winter Protection:  Tender perennial. Best lifted, potted and kept frost free under cover.

Other info: Upright habit. Produces runners and suckers. Also called Black stem elephants ear.
