Description
Great little foliage plant often used as ground cover although it looks excellent cascading from a pot. Deeply veined ovate leaves, green with purple undersides atop hairy stems. A great plant for shady parts of the garden, vigorous variety forming a dense carpet through a border. Pale lavender flowers appear August/September.
Height and Spread: 30cm, trailing 45cm
Sun/Shade: Partial/full shade.
Soil Conditions: Moist well drained soil.
Hardy/Winter protection: Tender perennial often grown as an annual. You can also bring indoors as a houseplant for winter.
